SpaceWorks Software builds and maintains relationships with universities and other institutions of higher learning through Academic License Partnerships (ALPs). Partner institutions receive FREE software licenses for REDTOP-Lite and FlightSight from SpaceWorks Software for use by undergraduate and graduate students, professors, and other research staff.
SpaceWorks Software believes in the importance of training the next generation of aerospace professionals, and our ALPs are intended to provide engineering analysis software to the bright minds that will shape our future in space.
This partnership program is open to colleges, universities, academic research institutes, and similar organizations. Commercial for-profit businesses and government agencies are not eligible for Academic License Partnerships.
The licenses and applications provided by SpaceWorks Software may be used for virtually any activity that occurs within an academic institution, including classroom instruction, individual or group student projects, student or faculty research, externally-funded research projects, and so on.
Although partner institutions are encouraged to publish, present, and otherwise share data produced using applications from SpaceWorks Software, under no circumstances may these partners redistribute the software products and licenses outside the institution without express consent from SpaceWorks Software.
Specific qualifications and limitations may be detailed in writing in the partnership agreement.
SpaceWorks Software requests that partner institutions openly acknowledge the partnership. This obligation can be satisfied by including the SpaceWorks Software name and/or logo on the institution's website wherever partners and sponsors are acknowledged.
We also ask that students and researchers acknowledge SpaceWorks Software in any published technical papers, journal articles, and reports for projects in which our software products were utilized. From time to time SpaceWorks Software may request an electronic copy of a particular published paper or report in which one of our software products was featured.
If you are an authorized representative of a college, university, academic research institute, or similar organization, then please contact us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org or 404-991-2201 to start the process.
If your university is listed among the ALP institutions below, simply contact your local ALP representative to obtain your software. If your university is not yet a partner, please contact your department leadership and encourage them to become an ALP partner. An ALP partnership involves no direct monetary cost and can be set up in a matter of days.
